Moon Café & Craft Beer Ltd.: A Toast to Fueling Dreams and Nourishing Community

BizLink is a program offered by Community Futures offices across Simcoe County. Moon Café & Craft Beer Ltd. accessed the program through Nottawasaga Futures in Alliston.

Today, I want to introduce you to Adam. Starting from humble beginnings as a dishwasher, Adam climbed the ranks to become a restaurant manager, later transitioning into sales representing beers, wines, and spirits which eventually led to his first realized dream of owning and operating Moon Café & Craft Beer Ltd. in Innisfil.

Adam is now also one of the proud owners of Wild Card Brewing which brews their own brand of craft beer, thanks to Nottawasaga Futures.

Adam's journey wouldn't have been possible without the support of Nottawasaga Futures Program and Community Futures’ BizLink Program. With their help, Adam was able to purchase an existing brewery and even hire staff to help him run his businesses.

Without this financial support, he admits that his dream of opening a brewery wouldn't have been achievable. But now, thanks to the program, he not only has been able to realize his dream but also to give back to the local community.

Adam and his team at Wild Card Brewing have created a culture around community support. They host vendor events for local businesses, sell local goods in their locations, and even maintain gardens offering free fruits and vegetables to locals. They've created a welcoming atmosphere that supports the community.

And speaking of support, they've also been able to generate job opportunities thanks to the Nottawasaga Futures program. They currently employ seven staff members, three at the cafe and four at the brewery. The program allowed them to focus on growing their business without worrying about supporting their staff.

“Without the support of Nottawasaga Futures, the idea would not even be happening,” said Adam.

As for future plans? Adam hopes to continue growing and contributing to his community,

potentially opening more locations in Innisfil.

So here's to Adam, his team at Wild Card Brewing, and all those who dare to dream big and work hard to turn those dreams into reality.
